I'm turning 30 this year and realized I didn't really live my twenties...
Grew up in Calgary and did my undegrad and master's here.
For the past 5+ years, everyday blurred together and I felt stuck.
At 20, I promised myself I'd take more risks...
That next happened.
Last year, I climbed the corporate later and doubled my income.
I thought hitting those milestones would make everything click.
And that I'd feel 113x happier...
I didn't.
So I booked my first 4-week Europe trip, which was a nice change of pace from the daily grind and world domination with my dog, Lucky.
And during those 4 weeks...
I fell in love with Austria.
The culture, architecture, and mountains.
I loved it so much, I went back again in September.
Found a town called Bad Ischl (think Austria's Canmore).
It was a nice swap from big city life in Calgary to a spa town right beside the mountains.
Plus, I have family there and 2 of my best friends, Jannis and Mariia, live there and kept nudging me to move.
Then my best friend, Jasmine and her husband moved to Hong Kong.
And watching them take that leap inspired me.
I don't want to be sitting in a senior home one day which I'd done the same.
So I thought...
YOLO!
I run my business 100% remote. I don't have a partner and don't have a house yet.
Nothing was tying me down in Calgary.
Austria has a Working Holiday Visa for 18 to 30 year olds where you can stay there for 12 months.
I applied and now here we flipping are.
It's the scariest thing I've ever done.
But also the most exciting.
Follow along as I take this big chapter of my life.
